Kids & Teens

Puppet Theater at Brockway Memorial Library
Puppet Theater
All Ages — Presented the first Wednesday of every month at 4 p.m. Brockway’s puppets and marionettes provide entertaining productions of great stories.
Read with Major Troy
Ages 4–8. Sign up for a 15-minute session to read with a Miami Shores Police Officer and Troy. Come read with Major Troy every first Thursday of the month between 3:30 p.m. and 5 p.m.
FROST Museum at Brockway Memorial Library STEM program
FROST Museum @ Brockway
STEM for kids in grades K–5. Meets the second Thursday of the month, September through May, from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Registration required.
MOCA Art for Teens
This art program for teens is held as a multiple-week series each spring. Please call for more information.
Saturday Storytime
Ages 4–7. Held on the third Saturday of the month, September through May, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. Children can listen to a story and enjoy a craft to follow. Registration required.
Village Kids Book Club
Ages 7–10. Held the third Thursday of every month from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Children discuss great books. Participants receive a copy of the current month’s selection, subject to availability. Registration required. Must be Brockway Memorial Library members.
Annual Summer Program for Kids
Ages 4 and older. Weekly fun from June through August. Pick up a brochure when summer begins. Free. Registration required. Must be Brockway Memorial Library members.

Adults & Seniors

The Brockway Reading Circle
Meets the second Monday of each month at 6 p.m. to discuss noteworthy and popular books. Registered club members only.
Travel and Recipe Club
Meets on the fourth Thursday of every month at 6 p.m. Members go on a literary journey as they read about different places and share recipes from around the world. Please call to join. Hosted by Teresita Harrington.
The Happy Seeds Project
This vibrant initiative, part of the award-winning Ready, Set, Grow! program in Miami-Dade County, offers a rich variety of seeds, from vegetables to pollinator-friendly flowers and herbs, inviting families to begin or expand their gardening journey. By growing their own food and nurturing plants, participants enjoy fresh produce while contributing to a thriving local ecosystem. Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at FIU
