Why Code Compliance Matters

Code compliance helps ensure that properties are maintained in a safe, clean, and orderly condition. These standards support public health, reduce nuisances, and help preserve the appearance and value of properties throughout the Village.

Common issues such as overgrown vegetation, illegal dumping, abandoned or inoperable vehicles, unsafe structures, and improper outside storage can negatively affect surrounding properties and the overall appearance of the community if they are not addressed.

The Code Compliance Department works with residents, property owners, and businesses to encourage voluntary compliance with Village codes and ordinances. The goal is to correct violations, maintain community standards, and support a safe and well-maintained Village.
