Country Club Advisory Board

(4 vacancies)

advise the country club general manager on various matters affecting the club. It shall serve as the liaison between members and management and as a sounding board for new ideas.

 Last Wednesday of each month beginning at 5:30 pm

Fine Arts Commission

(4 vacancies)

promote Fine Arts events through planning, organizing, and fostering such events in Miami Shores. 

 Second Tuesday of each month, beginning at 6:00 PM

General Employee Pension Board

(3 vacancies)

 The general administration of the plan and the responsibility for carrying out the provisions of the plan are hereby vested in a pension board. 

Meets quarterly in the Community Center 

Historic Preservation Board

(3 vacancies)

recommending sites or homes for historic designation to the Village Council and to act upon applications to move, demolish or alter the exterior appearance of a home which has been historically designated.

Planning Board (3 vacancies)

 designated as a local planning agency for purposes of preparing comprehensive plans and plan elements for the village pursuant to Local Government Comprehensive Planning and Land Development Regulations Act of 1975, F.S. § 163.3174

Fourth Thursday of the month unless otherwise noted at 6:30 PM

Personnel Appeals Board

(3 vacancies)

hold hearings on complaints lodged by Village employees who feel they have unfairly been discharged or suspended for more than three days, or reduced in rank/pay.

Recreation Advisory Committee (5 vacancies)

advise the recreation director and the village manager on the various recreation activities.

First Monday of the month at 7:00PM

(Appointment to any of the Boards/Committees is voluntary service and, as such, you will not be compensated for serving.  Compliance with all laws and ordinances of the Village, County and State of Florida, particularly those pertaining to the public records law, conduct of public office and the financial disclosure requirements is required, if applicable to the appointment.)
