Question: Why does it say Feedback not available?
Answer:

Feedback is available, please submit your questions and comments regarding the Comprehensive Plan Update Project. Thank you,

Question: Hi good morning, This is Councilwoman Burch. Is this the link to submit comments? It says it is. If so why does it capitalize every word? Please enlighten folks as soon as possible if they can only submit comments to the email address and I will correct what I told them.
Answer:

Good afternoon Councilwoman Burch, that is correct, this is the link to submit comments. We are working on the capitalization issue, but we are able to read and reply to all comments. Please feel free to share this link for public comments about this project. Thank you,

Question: This comment supports both downtown's height restrictions, and additional residential housing options: suggestion: recruiting a residential developer to create a luxury residential complex, either high rise unit or town homes. these can also be considered a senior "aging in Place" initiative. Because a developer will need to have a fair/equitable ROI on any development, the downtown heights should be adjusted to allow for that, whether it's extended to 4,5,6 stories. Additionally, the Country Club's property (excluding the golf course), can be reconfigured with a new club house and additional residential development using a portion of the available space.
Answer:

Thank you for your feedback, your comments will be included on our report and during the amendment process.

Question: Hi Claudia. I attended the open house today and I wanted to be on the list to receive updates, reports, etc. as the process moves along.
Answer:

Thank you for contacting us, please send us your email address to add you to our list.

Question: Greetings: I would really appreciate receiving notifications of our meetings prior to the day of said events. Cordially, Seth

Question: as a real estate developer, i would recommend you form a citizens advisory group or committee of experienced personnel to advise on this process as the Government officials are generally not knowledgeable about this process.
Answer:

Thank you for your feedback, your comments will be included on our report and during the amendment process.

Question: It s in the best interest of the village to maintain the scale of new housings and the lot to structure ratio. Recent new Constructions are either taking most of the lots (McMansion Style) or Moving into styles with no relationship at all with the existing buildings (cookie cutter boxes / high facades / massive structures). Give the current preassure with high value market, preserving the village lifestyle depends on wisely setting architectural Standards. Thanks, and sorry for the capital letters. It was a presetting from the website.
Answer:

Thank you for your feedback, your comments will be included on our report and during the amendment process.

PS. No worries about the capitalization. Thank you,

Question: These are serious issues for all residents. There should be more meetings on different days and hours to make this information more available to the residents. No decisions should be made until the information has been broadly discussed. Susanne Rice
Answer:

Thank you for your comments Ms. Rice, the Village will be constantly updating the public about the Comprehensive Plan Update Project, mainly through the Village website. In addition, the Project includes public hearings, and the public is encourage to participate, in order to adopt any amendments to the Comprehensive Plan. Please send us your email address to provide you with updates.

Question: Comments: In order for a quaint, urban downtown setting to exist there must be a relationship between the public and private space. something as simple and inexpensive as subtle uplighting of all trees on this 5 block span would make a huge impact and enliven the 2nd Avenue Downtown Corridor. Bike racks, as well. Miami Shores is a beautiful pedestrian friendly community that needs a little more polishing to make it stand out. That was our main reason for investing in this section of town. We are a Neighborhood Cafe concept and it was a no brainer to see that this part of town was ripe for a concept like ours. We love being here in Miami Shores and want to thank all of our neighbors and new friends for their support! Neli Santamarina, Tinta y Cafe - 9840 NE 2nd Avenue Miami Shores.
Answer:

Thank you for your comments Ms. Santamarina. Your comments and suggestions will be part of our project outreach. Stay in touch for updates of our Comprehensive Plan Update Project.
