Inspections

Please submit inspection requests by 3:30 PM to schedule for the next available business day for that trade. 
Inspection days are as follows:

• Building and Roofing: Monday to Friday
• Electrical: Monday to Friday
• Plumbing: Monday to Thursday
• Mechanical: Monday and Wednesday
   

Must have up-to-date license and insurances in order to request inspection.

Specify the inspection type.

Inspectors work from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM in the field.

No inspections will be performed unless the permit card is displayed, and plans are readily available at the job site. It is the permit applicant's responsibility to ensure that the work is accessible and exposed for inspection purposes.

Neither the building official nor the city shall be liable for expenses incurred in the removal or replacement of any material required to allow inspection.

Inspections are not performed on the following holidays:

• Columbus Day - October 12, 2026
• Veterans Day - November 11, 2026
• Thanksgiving Day and Friday after - November 26 & 27, 2026
• Christmas Day - December 25, 2026
• New Year's Day -  January 1, 2027
• Martin Luther King Jr. - January 18, 2027
• Presidents Day - February 15, 2027
• Memorial Day - May 25, 2026
• Juneteenth - June 19, 2026
• Independence Day (observed on) - July 3, 2026
• Labor Day - September 7, 2026
