The Miami Shores Aquatic Center offers an eight lane competition pool with lap swimming and Wild Waters Aquatic Park which features 5 slides and over 30 interactive water features including a gigantic Water Bucket Drop that dumps over 300 gallons of water. Lifeguards are certified through the American Red Cross.

The facilities are currently open to Miami Shores residents, Bay Harbor Island residents and their guests. *Non-residents have access to our facilities for lap swimming ONLY.*

NO outside food or drinks are allowed into the Aquatics Center, except for reusable water bottles (Yeti cups or etc). We do not accept disposable plastic water bottles. (Filtered water station is available at your convenience to fill up your reusuable waterbottles.)

The top two reasons drowning deaths occur are a breakdown in adult supervision and adolescents or adults swimming alone. Drowning is the 2nd leading cause of injury-related death among children ages 1-4 years old.

Join our Learn to Swim Programs. Red Cross swim lessons are offered at the Aquatic Center for all ages 6 months to adult and all abilities. Contact the pool to sign up.

 

Swim Lesson Fees:

  • Group Swim Lesson per Session: Resident $100 | $120 Non-resident
    • Insurance is required for all children registered for classes. Resident $12 / Non-resident $15
  • Private Lessons available per 30 minutes: One Student $50 | Two Students $80

The Miami Shores Eagles Aquatics Team is directed by Adam Madarassy, a former Olympian. The team is a year-round competitive swim team offering high-quality professional coaching and technique instruction for all ages and abilities. All youth interested in competitive swimming are invited to try-out. Practice days are determined by the coach’s recommendations.
